Heheh I finally registered on this forum. I've been looking at some of the pages, especially those dealing with 55 monk, for a while. So, hello everybody, looks like I finally found the intro thread. I'm done. Oh yeah, one minor fact; reason I registered is 'cause I can't play GW atm, computer died But in-between college classes (and in some, as right now), I check the forum

My brother owns the game. I need to get it myself, still. Myself, well unless I get to know the individual asking the questions, I will probably dodge them.
I deleted my character on his account, so for now, I don't have a character to use. With that said, would anybody still happen to have their trial code, so I could maybe use it?
Edit: That last bit about the trial code might have resolved itself...

Yo i am Trav. I've been playing GW for about a year and 3/4. I play the Necro, Monk, and the Ranger. I enjoy tyria the most, and i still think a-net should make items in locked chests in FoW inscriable and tombs is under-rated!

I suppose this is really late, My name is Drakken and I'm somewhat of an internet celebrity. (The scary thing is, I'm not joking, you used to be able to google me by my full name.) I'm new here and still fairly new at Guild Wars. I work full time and try to play as often as I can, and my favourite class is Necromancer ever since Diablo 2. (I was one of the first to come up with and play the PURE bone necromancer in Diablo 2. If you can find the oldest guides for it, you'll see the name Drakken at very least mentioned.) Believe me, I was pretty miffed when they added the synergies system that finally made the bone necromancer 'amazing' and suddently everyone had one.
I sing, play guitar, write songs, collect and play tabletop games, (Warhammer//WH40k//Warmachine) and I'm a horrible, horrible goth sterotype.

Welcome to GWs Guru. This is the first forum that I have ever written on and I find it very helpful.
GWs Profile
Name: Lynn
Gender: Female
Age: In my 30’s
Nationality: Canadian
Living in: Abroad, but home base is Canada
Hobby’s beside GW: Digital voice editing, some Photoshop art, occasional good fantasy movies, talking with my friends, reading fantasy novels. I love our cats.
What other games do I play: Oblivion
Job or school: Living in a double income, no kids situation and liking it.
Favorite game b4 GW: Morrowind
Favorite Cartoon: I guess I like the classics, like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.
Favorite music: Any song that tells a story about something other than love. Eg. Iron Maiden’s Rhime of the 'Ancient Mariner', 'Dance with the Dead' are excellent stories. Chris de Berge is a fantastic story teller, 'Crusader' being one of his best. Actually all genres of music can spin a good yarn, and any of those, I will like. However, the classic heavy metal genre is still unmatched for its good, non-mundane/fantasy-style story telling.
Favorite food: filet mignon - and that has been a constant since I was a wee child.
Chars: I have…
- 7 monks
- 4 warriors
- 3 rangers
- 3 elementalists
- 3 necromancers
- 3 mesmers
- 3 ritualists
- 3 paragons
- 3 assassins
- 1 dervish
Favourite char: Can’t decide between them, but fav class is monk
Favourite Campaign: I like:
- Nightfall because of the constant sunlight and afternoon shadows and the romance between Melonni and Koss
- Factions because of the humorous story, humorous NPCs, and plenty non-violent quests.
- Prophesies because of the lush, green landscape, Drok’s forge trek, beautiful, sunny Mineral Springs area.
- GW:EN – have yet to explore much of it, but heard it is nice.
Pvp or pve: Primarily PvE
What I hate about GW:
- Skill nerfing and Ferndale.
- PvE and PvP being so intertwined that PvE gets nerfed by the PvPers
- The fact that new expansions come out too quickly. I’d like to take more time living in the ones that we have.
- Would like more ability to customize clothing.
- The fact that there was no warning that you had to keep your digital key code for the game, so I threw the first few I bought away, making me vulnerable to total loss if anything were to happen to some of my accounts, which I paid in full for.
- I dislike bots, as they harm the game. But even more, I hate the way Anet tries to combat them by damaging their own game more than the bots do. eg. Hero AI problems, bad drops, etc.
What do I love about GW: I like everything I mentioned in 'Favorite Campaign' plus:
- the ability to dye clothes,
- the good graphics,
- the private combat area just for you and friends,
- the good game control system (very user friendly),
- skill system is excellent (other than the nerfing).
- the assigned drops is nice, to avoid putting off beginners.
I actually bore my friends with the details of what I like about GWs. It’s the first game that I have encountered that has something in it that appeals to both my partner and I. We usually have different taste in games.
My main goal in GW: I’d like to finish the story with most of my characters, get all of them some sort of title and get all of them the armor that I have decided for them. What’s that going to take me? Two more years? I’m not in any hurry for GWs2.
A new goal – maybe I should find other active players to game with daily since my good friends are extremely casual players and my hubby is tired of the nerfing and wants to quit and I think solo play can get dull.

I must be blind..I just noticed this thread was here.
Holas, my name is Trub....(IGN anyways)
I'm a member of [SMS]/ and I love guild wars.(I am the only female player in my guild...zomg)
(Why does this feel like a support group meeting?)
I have been playing this magnificent game since Beta times....and still going strong!
I was there when that little (insert baaaaaad name here) Gwen burned us all to the UW.
I will continue to be here (GW) until the final frame. (NUUUUUUUUU never close GW!)
I have seen players come and go...some leave, only to return.
Anyways, again a huge hug to all!
Don't forget to bring me dyes and cookies if we ever meet in game..

Hello loyal Guru attendees! I'm FengShuiDove, Dove is preferable, and I've been looking for a community of Guild Wars players to coincide with my love of the game! I'm 18 years old from Kansas, USA, and I've been playing GW for almost a year now. I have all campaigns plus GWEN (and soon the Bonus Mission Pack as well), and I'm still playing through them all with all characters.
I have a character of every profession, but my favorites are my original character, Aule Illuvatar (Elementalist) and my Assassin, Jin Hwoarang, my title chaser and the one who sees most of the action recently.
I mostly PvE and farm, but I love to AB (after all, gotta get those titles) and occasionally PvP (which I think I'd enjoy more if I found a good guild/group of folks to practice and learn with).
Hopefully I'll be seeing a lot of action on the seller's market on here which I'm very happy to have finally found. You can expect to find me there and, depending on if/how much you entertain me, around here as well!
Nice to meet you all and hope to get to know the place better soon!
-Dove
